Avon Gorge and walks in Lockdown

Over lockdown I’ve been trying to get into a routine of getting out the house before the working day and going for a walk around the local area. The Downs in Bristol is easily accessible from home and since March 2020 I’ve taken various shots of the Avon Gorge and the surrounding area. Its been an interesting catalogue of the changing seasons and there have been a few discoveries and unexpected sights along the way

The images are taken on my iPhone so the quality isn’t that great but I’ve managed to capture the changing face

Goats In The Gorge

One of the surprises was to find that goats live in the Gorge. One early morning we arrived at one of our favourite points to find the goats having their breakfast. We kept quiet and didn’t move and they stayed there for a few minutes

Early Morning Mist

You can just about make out the River Avon in this shot. Moments before you couldn’t see anything the whole Gorge was full of mist but as the sun came over the horizon it started to burn it off
